In the beginning…

In 1995, Bongo Reef Productions was set up by Paul Olding to act as an umbrella company covering a potentially diverse range of media applications, from film and TV, to radio and photography.
	Along with a bit of radio, the mainstay of the company became photography. At Oxford University, we photographed finalists, sporting events, teams, catwalk shows, fringe plays and summer parties. The service rapidly expanded, incorporating monochrome and colour output, 35mm, medium format and digital. An advisory operation was also established, providing photographic advice to Oxford University expeditions setting off to the far flung reaches of the globe.
A library of stock photography was also accumulated, with particular emphasis on travel and wildlife. Highly commended by the Nature Group of the Royal Photographic Society, the images have since been used in many publications.
	With continued growth, in 2002, Olding Images was set up to take over the photography side of things, leaving Bongo Reef Pictures to concentrate on the movies.
